Garden State Snoring Solutions is a project designed by Dr. Jeffrey Aroesty in answer to the growing problems that snoring and mild obstructive sleep apnea present. As information-sharing and technology have advanced, it has become clear to Dr. Aroesty that patients who snore, or who have partners that snore, are suffering needlessly. Sleep is a necessity to good health, both mental and physical. If a patient is losing sleep because of snoring, their quality of life is being negatively affected.
The effects of snoring not only cause fatigue and irritability. It can have a negative effect on your relationship with your bed partner, increase your chances of developing depression, high blood pressure, heart attack or stroke. Studies show that lack of sleep may lead to daytime drowsiness, decreased libido and decreased productivity. Snoring in women is very common and many do not seek treatment because they are embarrassed.
All too often people mistakenly think that snoring only happens to those who are overweight, lazy or male. The reality is that snoring is typically anatomical in nature and not linked to gender or any hygiene issue that you may be embarrassed about. It is, nonetheless, an issue to be taken seriously. If you, or a loved one, suffer from snoring please contact our office to set up a consultation. You are entitled to a good night’s sleepevery night.
We encourage you to involve yourself in your own treatment and to ask questions throughout our relationship. In our opinion, an informed and involved patient is most likely to achieve the highest level of health, and we look forward to working with you to achieve this goal.
